Stephen Engle
Associate Vice President

As Associate Vice President, Stephen Engle is responsible for several clinical and ancillary areas, including Diagnostic Imaging, the Cecilia Gonzalez De La Hoya Cancer Center, Rehabilitation Services, Laboratory Services and Nutritional Services.

Steve joined White Memorial in 1997 as coordinator of the Cleft Palate Program, and successfully rebuilt the program. In 2000 he became director of the Cecilia Gonzalez De La Hoya Cancer Center, where he consistently increased patient volume and exceeded revenue targets while developing a strong community outreach effort. In 2003 Steve also took on directorship of Diagnostic Imaging. He increased physician satisfaction scores 5 percent in one year, cut the backlog for mammography appointments in half, implemented digital breast imaging, and designed and implemented an all-digital archiving system for x-rays. He became Associate Vice President in July 2005.

Steve earned his bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic State University in Pomona, CA and studied law for two years at the University of La Verne Law School. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration.
