Surgical Care
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I stay with my baby/child?
One parent or guardian may be at the bedside with a child in the pre-op and recovery room areas.
What is anesthesia?
Anesthesia is the use of medicine to prevent feeling any pain or other sensations during surgery. At the LASC, highly trained clinical professionals use a wide variety of modern medications and advanced monitoring technology to ensure that patients are as safe and comfortable as possible before, during, and after their procedure.
What will my surgery cost?
Our admitting staff can pre-certify you and verify benefits with your insurance company in order to give you an approximate idea of what your out-of-pocket costs will be. Each patient’s insurance is different so costs can vary depending on the benefits, deductibles and co-payments established by your policy.
Can I make payment arrangements?
For your convenience the LASC accepts cash, checks and all major credit cards. You may contact our Patient Financial Services department to discuss alternate financial arrangements or to discuss concerns.
Patient Financial Services may be reached at (323) 268-5000, ext. 1124.
We will work with patients who have no insurance to help them with their options.
