Surgery Instructions
The Day of Your Surgery
Ask your doctor about taking any medications on the morning of your surgery. Be sure to follow your doctor’s instructions.
Bring all your medications (prescription, herbal, natural) with you.
Bring your personal identification and insurance card with you. (driver’s licence, ID, passport, etc.)
Legal guardians or those with power of attorney must have proof of this or appropiate documentation with them.
Minors under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
If you have a living will or advance directive please bring a copy to leave in your medical chart.
