WMMC Features Oscar De La Hoya in New Radio Campaign

White Memorial Medical Center launched a new radio advertising campaign, featuring Oscar De La Hoya, to promote the new Oscar De La Hoya Labor and Delivery Center. Four 60-second spots and several shorter promotional teasers started to air the second week of September on Spanish-language and bilingual radio stations.

As part of his support of WMMC, De La Hoya recorded these spots as a gift to the hospital. The 60 second spots include the voice of a young girl and boy who are excited about the baby that their mother will be having. In the ad, Oscar encourages expectant mothers to tour the new labor and delivery and maternity areas. The promotional spots feature endorsements by popular radio personalities, including Omar and Argelia Velasco and Sofia Soria of KLVE 107.5, Alysha del Valle of KXOL 96.3 and Marcela Luevanos of KSCA 101.9.

Expectant mothers who tour the new center receive an exclusive gift from De La Hoya and White Memorial (restrictions apply). The gift is a teddy bear wearing boxing gloves and a t-shirt with an imprint of Oscar’s signature on it.

Since the beginning of the year, WMMC has been advertising in newspapers and on radio to raise awareness of the new Oscar De La Hoya Labor and Delivery Center and reinforce the hospital’s well-established reputation for providing quality care in women and children’s services.

The advertising campaigns have been developed with Enlace Communications, headquartered in Santa Monica, Calif.
