WMMC Celebrates Hospital/Nurses’ Week

Employees and nurses enjoyed an amazing Hospital Week/Nurses’ Week celebration May 5-9. The events began on the first day, with a juke box in the cafeteria and a Cinco de Mayo lunch menu. Fifty employees were also treated to car washes this day, courtesy of the Executive Team and members of the Leadership Team.

The festivities continued throughout the rest of the week. Employees enjoyed a different delicious treat each day. Additionally, the nursing day shift enjoyed a special “Under the Tuscan Sun” lunch and the night shift was treated to an “Under the Tuscan Moon” dinner.

Other highlights of the week included head and neck massages for all employees, a special gift for each person, a cooking show, a photo contest, Nursing and Hospital Excellence awards, and WMMC’s version of American Idol called – of course -- WMMC Idol! Nine talented employees made the finals, and the three top winners – cheered on by their co-workers -- won cash prizes. Other employees dressed in costume to judge the event and impersonate TV  judges Simon, Paula and Randy. The week ended with a pancake breakfast and special celebratory sparkling cider toast.
