Consumer Reports Highlights WMMC
White Memorial ranks 10th out of 82 Los Angeles County hospitals now rated by Consumer Reports. The ratings are based on patient satisfaction survey data. 96 percent of patients said WMMC doctors always communicated well, and 93 percent said the same... of WMMC nurses.
For the first time, Consumer Reports is providing patient satisfaction ratings for more than 3.400 hospitals across the U.S. Subscribers to www.ConsumerReportsHealth.org can compare hospitals and the challenges patients say they have experienced. The ratings are based on patient surveys collected by the federal government’s Consumer Assessments of Healthcare Providers and Systems Survey (HCAHPS). White Memorial’s patient satisfaction vendor, PRC, reports WMMC’s results to HCAHPS.
The data is presented in the same way as other Consumer Reports ratings. A team of statisticians and health experts analyzed the HCAHPS data to develop the Consumer Reports ratings. White Memorial ranked 10th out of 82 hospitals in Los Angeles County that are included in the ratings. Ninety-six percent of WMMC patients said that doctors always or usually communicated well.
