Internal Medicine Residency Program
Introduction
The White Memorial Medical Center Internal Medicine Department offers a fully accredited three-year residency. Five categorical and four preliminary positions are offered each year through the National Residency Matching Program. Residents in each of the three years participate in the care of 80 to 110 adult medical inpatients.
The faculty includes hospital-based as well as full-time practicing internists, medical sub-specialists, and neurologists. The teaching program emphasizes patient-oriented teaching rounds on both the inpatients and outpatient services and includes a full schedule of both didactic and case-oriented conferences. Medical and Physician Assistant students rotate on the inpatient and outpatient services. We offer an inner city patient population in a private hospital setting.
