Public Arts Project Features Tile Murals by Local Artist Jose Ramirez

"Los Angeles" is the collective title of four original paintings by local artist Jose Ramirez, which have been interpreted in porcelain tile and are being installed as murals on the outside of the White Memorial Medical Plaza II parking structure.

This unique collection of tile murals is believed to be the only one of its kind in the city of Los Angeles. The paintings and murals are a public arts project that was reviewed and approved by the City of Los Angeles Cultural Affairs Commission.

The four murals together are made up of more than 5,000 hand-crafted and hand-painted porcelain tiles, created by Skuja Braden Porcelain of Sacramento. They interpret the original paintings by artist Jose Ramirez, which hang in the lobby and on the third floor of the White Memorial Medical Plaza II office building.
