Rebuilding Project

Topping Out Ceremony Photos

On March 17, the steel framework of the acute care tower was “topped out.” WMMC took this opportunity to mark the special moment in the hospital’s history and to recognize the people who have worked on the New White Memorial rebuilding project.

WMMC employees wrote messages on the "topping out" beam, which is now a permanent part of the new hospital.

The steel beam used in the ceremony was decorated with an American flag and a small evergreen tree, which signifies patriotism and the life and growth of the new building.

As part of the ceremony, the uppermost steel beam was put into place, indicating that the structure has reached its highest point.
