PL-3: Five Positions

Rotations

Rotations consist of 13 four-week months:

1st Year Residents

• Ward - 6 months
• NICU - 1 month
• Nursery - 1 month
• Clinic - 3 months
• Elective - 2 months
• Vacation - 3 weeks¹

2nd Year Residents

• Ward - 3 months
• NICU - 1 month
• Clinic - 3 months
• Emergency Medicine - 1 month
• PICU - 1 month
• Elective - 4 months
• Vacation - 3 weeks¹

3rd Year Residents

• Ward - 3 months
• Clinic - 3 months
• Elective - 4 months
• Emergency Medicine - 1 month
• PICU - 1 month
• NICU - 1 month
• Vacation - 3 weeks¹

¹Vacation time is to be taken only during clinic rotations.

Night Call

Every effort is made so that residents take call less frequently than the limit of every third night as per the ACGME/Pediatric RRC Guidelines.
