Emergency Services
One of the most vital services to our community, our 24-hour Emergency Department (ED) provides expertise that is only one step down from a trauma center, with a physician on site at all times. We are designated as a specialty center for the treatment of heart attack patients, and we are an EDAP facility (Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics), which means we have specialized equipment and staff for treating children. Because studies have shown the shortest intervals between symptoms and treatment greatly enhance the odds for survival, our ED is equipped with a CT scanner and X-ray room. Patients do not have to leave the ED for these services, providing greater efficiency and increasing a patient’s potential for recovery.
